Fazail e Zikr

Once Rasulullah (Sallallaho alaihe wasallam) said, "The mufarrideen have gone far ahead." "Who are the mu- farrideen?" enquired the Sahabah. Rasulullah (Sallallaho alaihe wasallam) replied, "Those who are intensely de- voted to the zikr of Allah." On the basis of this hadith, the Sufis have stated that the kings and rulers should not be prevented from zikr of Allah, for they, by this means, can attain a lofty rank in the Hereafter.
