The Nisbat of the Shaikh is Attained through Self-Annihilation
The Nisbat of the Shaikh is Attained through Self-Annihilation
Hazrat Hakeem Akhtar Sahib (DB) said, “This issue is very common that if a donkey falls into a bed of salt, then it turns into salt. The reason for this is that once it falls into a bed of salt, it dies after a while, and then it becomes salt. As long as it is breathing, it remains a donkey. We come in the company and presence of the Shaikh (this means coming into contact with the shaikh by any means, i.e. through letters, emails, over the phone, and obviously physically being in their company, etc.) and we maintain our ego. If we annihilate our ego, then the way our Shaikh is, we too will become like that. All the nisbat of the shaikh will transfer into us (Insha Allah).
